File Sharing At Its Best: Shared.com

With the advent of technology more and more people and businesses are shifting towards something known as “cloud storage”. What is it? Well in simple words, cloud storage means when your files are saved online and not on any offline device such as your computer’s hard disk or pen drive.

We all use cloud storage in one form or another and many of us don’t even know that we are using it.  For example you use an e-mail ID but did you really know its storage is actually cloud storage? You see all your sent and received emails, all your multimedia attachments are saved online and you can access them from any place having an Internet connection.

Shared is one such cloud storage system which you can use to both save and transfer files online. Unlike an e-mail ID, cloud storages like Shared are built from the ground up for the intent of saving and sharing files.

There are three types of plans available. The Standard one is completely free. You will get 5 GB of storage data and the size of one file can go as large as 1 GB.

Other plans are called Pro and Pro Plus and they cost $9.95 per month and $24.95 per month respectively and are ad free. The Pro plan gives you 250 GB of data storage while the Pro Plus plan will give you 2 TB of data i.e. 2,048 GB of data.

Signing up is easy and takes just a few minutes. Below is the tiny form that you’ll have to fill for sign up.

Once you are in you will find that the user interface is easy to understand as it is very intuitive. You can begin uploading and sharing your files immediately after sign up.

Many different file types are supported. You may upload text files, pictures, graphics, audios, videos, and many different versions of each of them are also supported.

Below are only some of the supported extensions. This list is mainly for files created on Android devices:

Images (.jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .webp)

Music (.mp3, .m4a, .aac, .mid, .xmf, .mxmf, .flac, .wav, .ogg, .mkv, .imy, .ota, .rtttl, .rtx)

Video (.3gp, .mp4, .ts)

Due to this diversity of supported file types Shared is ideal for designers, musicians, photographers and others who want to keep their favorite stuff and their portfolio just a few clicks away.

Unlike many other cloud storages Shared doesn’t require you to install anything on your computer. Whenever you will want to access your files you will just have to point your browser to https://shared.com, (note it is not “http”, it is “https”) sign in, and download.

Shared also offers an affiliate program by which bloggers and website owners can earn money. If you own a website you can grab the links generated by Shared from your account and then use them on your site to back link to Shared. Now whenever somebody clicks on those links and goes to Shared and purchases the Pro or Pro Plus plan you will get a 30% commission.

As I said, signing up is free for the Standard plan so you can check them out without risking anything.
